Live Ahwatukee (liveahwatukee.com) is operated by Ryan Melville, REALTOR®. We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, rely on captions, or use magnification, high contrast, or voice control.
The standard we work to
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the benchmark most widely referenced for public websites in the United States, and it is the one we measure ourselves against.
What we do
- Every page declares its language, so a screen reader pronounces the content correctly.
- Pages begin with a "skip to main content" link, so a keyboard or screen reader user can bypass the navigation.
- Form fields carry real labels rather than placeholder text alone.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and decorative images are marked so assistive technology can ignore them.
- Headings are used in order to describe the structure of a page, not chosen for their size.
- We run an automated accessibility check across our sites every week and treat what it finds as work to schedule, not a report to file.
Where we fall short
We would rather tell you this than have you discover it.
- Automated checks catch a minority of accessibility problems. Parts of this site have not yet been reviewed by a person using assistive technology, and that review is the only way to find the rest.
- Some pages include content from third parties, such as mapped listing data, review feeds, embedded video, or a chat widget. We do not control the markup those services produce, and some of it does not meet the standard above. Where a third party blocks us, we will say so and offer the information another way.
- Older pages on this site were published before these practices were in place and are being brought up to standard in turn.
- We have not yet completed a full color contrast review of every page state, including hover and focus styles.

Please tell us. A specific report is genuinely useful, and we would rather hear about a problem than have you give up on the page.

It helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology or browser you were using. You do not need to know the technical cause.
What happens next. We aim to acknowledge you within two business days. If the fix is quick we will make it and tell you. If it is not, we will tell you what we are doing and roughly when, and in the meantime we will get you the information or complete the task with you directly, by phone, by email, or in person.
Getting the same result another way
If any part of this site stands between you and what you came for, you do not have to use the site. Call or text 480-672-1721 and we will walk you through it, read a listing to you, send details in the format you prefer, or complete a form with you over the phone. There is no part of our service that is only available through the website.
