From "Casa de Sueños" to the world's largest cul-de-sac.
Ahwatukee started as a 12,000-square-foot mansion in 1921, became a 4,000-acre International Harvester proving ground in 1946, and grew into a master-planned village of 83,000 people. The full story — Hohokam petroglyphs, the Brinton name, the Presley plan, and the freeway that finally connected it to the West Valley.
