Kyrene's governing board voted 4-1 last week to send a $185 million bond package to voters this November. The money would fund HVAC overhauls at six elementary campuses, a new STEM wing at Akimel A-al Middle School, and district-wide security upgrades.
For a home assessed at $500,000, the district estimates an annual increase of roughly $96.
