Final days, summer programs, and what's already on next year's calendar across the two districts that split Ahwatukee.

An Ahwatukee elementary school campus
The school year is closing out across Ahwatukee's two districts — Kyrene on the K–8 side and Tempe Union for the high schools — which means the village is about to trade carpool lines for a much quieter morning commute. Final events, end-of-year ceremonies, and the last round of performances are filling the district calendars right now.
Summer doesn't mean the buildings go dark. Both districts typically run summer programming and camps, and registration details get posted to the district sites as offerings firm up — worth a look if you're trying to keep kids busy through the hot months without a daily theme-park budget.
For families plotting next year, the district calendars are the source of truth: board meetings, first-day dates, and key breaks are already being published. We pull dated school happenings into the events page as they're announced, so the big ones should surface there too.
