Foothills Reserve sits at the literal edge of South Mountain Park — many lots back directly to the preserve, which means no rear neighbors and unobstructed mountain views. It's one of the quieter pockets in Ahwatukee precisely because there's nowhere to drive through to.

Construction here is newer than most of Ahwatukee — late 1990s through the 2010s, with a meaningful share of the homes still on their original roofs. Inside Foothills Reserve are several smaller enclaves including Sunrise, where some of the most desirable preserve-backing lots sit.

Best fit for: buyers who prioritize a quiet cul-de-sac street, easy trail access, and slightly newer construction over walkability to schools or amenities.
